Meet Valen


 


As the Director of Operations, Valen adds value for our clients by strengthening the Financial Management brand and enhancing customer experience for all current and future clients. Her determination to promote a progressive culture and see relationships strengthen is second to none. Valen assists team members with ongoing training, workflows, marketing items, project management, and other operational procedures. She has been instrumental in improving office efficiencies with her strong commitment to details, integrity, and development. Val enjoys sharing personal interactions with clients and is always looking for new opportunities to help our clients pursue financial fulfillment.


Valen has had a diverse academic and professional background prior to joining Financial Management. She grew up in Washington and attended college on an academic scholarship where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and Public Health. She originally thought that her future would be in medicine; however, after graduating she discovered that her passion for helping others wasn’t in the medical field, but rather in the business and financial industry. Valen has spent several years developing and using management skills that have enabled her to help several businesses meet and exceed their company objectives. She has also devoted her time as a motivational speaker to help enrich the lives of those seeking personal and professional growth.


Valen began her financial career at Fidelity Investments in the trading and service department. She quickly realized how much she enjoyed developing connections with clients and helping them works towards their goals, and spent the remainder of her time at Fidelity providing financial guidance to clients across the globe. She currently holds the FINRA Series 7, 63, and 66 registrations. Throughout her time working for Fidelity, Valen enjoyed being a member of the Women’s Leadership Group and serving as the national events coordinator for the company. She is now able to blend her experience in both management and financial services to offer clients of Financial Management an exceptional customer experience.


When Valen is not in the office or spending time with her family, you can find her outside in her happy place – the mountains! Whether it’s hiking, exploring unchartered areas, or appreciating a good view… Valen loves the feeling of peace and alignment that nature brings to her. She also enjoys golfing, camping, target shooting, traveling, and the occasional movie marathon.
